Groups & Intensives
Summer offers a unique window for meaningful therapeutic work. More time, more focus, more momentum — whether you're working individually or alongside others.
When Weekly Therapy Isn't Enough
How Intensive & Group Therapy Can Help
Evidence-Based Mental Health Treatment in DC, Maryland & Virginia
Every family we work with is different — and the support that helps one person thrive may look completely different for another. Our summer groups and intensives are designed with that in mind: additional, focused support for families who want more. More structure for a child building new skills. More connection for a parent who needs a community. More momentum for someone ready to go deeper.
Whatever brings you here, you'll find the same values that guide everything we do at The Arbit Center — whole-person care, cultural humility, and evidence-based approaches including EMDR, IFS, CBT, TF-CBT, Psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness.
Starting May 2026
Summer Intensives
Our intensive programs offer a concentrated, immersive therapeutic experience — accelerating your progress and deepening your work in ways that weekly sessions simply can't replicate.
EMDR intensive
with Victoria
EMDR is one of the most thoroughly researched trauma therapies available. In an intensive format, it becomes even more powerful — allowing for deeper processing without the disruption of waiting a week between sessions. Ideal for trauma survivors, PTSD, anxiety, and phobias.
Couples intensive
with Ieisha
90-minute breakthrough sessions for couples seeking deeper connection and lasting change. Move beyond surface-level concerns and into the patterns that actually drive disconnection. Ideal for couples navigating conflict, communication challenges, or major life transitions.
School readiness
all ages
Tailored, targeted support for children preparing for kindergarten or the shift to middle school. We work on confidence, emotional regulation, executive function, and the specific skills your child needs to thrive. Parent coaching available.
Summer Groups
In a well-facilitated group, something remarkable happens: you realize you are not alone. The struggles you've been carrying in silence are shared by others — and in that shared experience, real healing becomes possible.
For high schoolers
ADHD & Executive Function Group
Structured skill-building for time management, organization, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy — with peers who truly understand. Grades 9–12.
For parents
ADHD Parent Support Group
Expert-guided community for parents to share strategies, process the weight of caregiving, and access real guidance — because caregivers need support too.
